Erik Stern

Erik is a sixth-generation family business owner and has worked with business-owning families via FBN since 2017. With a background in political science and aspirations of entrepreneurship, Erik has gained diverse experience working with think tanks, political parties, and as a business developer, among other roles.

He serves on the board of the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation alongside five other sixth-generation family members. The foundation is the largest owner of Ratos, a publicly traded business group based in Stockholm. Ratos originated as a holding company in 1931 when Ragnar and Torsten Söderberg, two brothers from the third generation, decided to structure the family's various investments more formally, an early example of what might now be considered a family office. Erik is going to present his family's history through the lens of family, business, and ownership.
